Just because you don't play cricket doesn't mean you can't become involved with a cricket club. Being a part of a cricket club can be an incredibly rewarding experience, whether you are a scorer, administrator, masseur, scoreboard attendant, team manager, practice captain, support staff, kiosk co-ordinator, coaching assistant, selector, committee-person or social member.

Premier Cricket is the senior level of club cricket in Western Australia and any of the Premier Clubs would welcome your involvement at their club. Click here for a list of all Premier Clubs.

Gosnell’s District Cricket Club is seeking applications for junior coach and assistant coach for 2019/2020 WACA premier cricket season for U15’s

Skills Required


  • Effective communicator.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze, study, plan and assess the game as it develops.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Knowledge of cricket skills - technical and tactical.
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of players, officials and supporters.
  • Level 1 or 2 Cricket Australia coach accreditation preferred but not essential

Key Roles and Responsibilities.

Responsible for:

  • the general overseeing of the training structure and the implementation of training programs designed to improve the performance of players
  • utilizing the expertise of specialist coaching staff outside the club and to act on the advice of these coaches
  • providing advice to the selection committee regarding player performance at training and in game situations
  • liaising closely with the WACA so that new, innovative coaching techniques can be brought to the club
  • the monthly evaluation of training programs and meeting with the necessary coaching staff
  • assisting players to develop all facets of their game
  • providing consistence feedback to the parents
  • providing mentor and technique assistance to players
  • providing players with the constructive feedback necessary to enhance their performance at training, and subsequent success in games
  • assisting players to set realistic cricketing goals and provide the means necessary to monitor and achieve these goals
  • Attending training session, twice a week and attendance at games

Rockingham-Mandurah District Cricket Club

Expressions of interest for Senior Coach WACA Female Teams


Rockingham-Mandurah District Cricket Club are looking for a Female Senior Head Coach for RMDCC teams for the upcoming 2019/20 season.


Rockingham-Mandurah District Cricket Club competes in the WA Premier Women’s Cricket Competition & am looking at having full status with A & B Grade teams plus continue with the Female Youth League.


Working with the team captains, they will perform the responsibilities in the attached job description, including but not limited to:


  • In conjunction with other members of the woman & RMDCC Executive Committee
    1. Planning and implementing the pre-season training program, identifying and addressing specific individual and team skill areas.
    2. Planning and implementing the coaching program for the season, team captains and the WACA High Performance Department.
    3. Co-Ordination and management of the submission of the Premier Female WACA grant applications with the club Secretary, specifically related to the coaching department.


  • Manage RMDCC Coaches or managers of teams on Match Days
  • Provide technical coaching and support on training and match days.
  • The coach reports to the club Director of Cricket.

Gosnells Cricket Club Senior Head Coach – Job Advertisement


The Gosnells Cricket Club (GCC) is seeking a new Senior Head Coach to lead the club. The role encompasses ensuring strong development and high performance outcomes for both individuals and teams. Coaching will apply to the areas of batting, bowling, fielding, mental training, strength & conditioning and strategy.
We are looking for a leader to take the club into a new era of success on and off the field.

The role is suitable for someone who has;

  • Prior experience coaching a senior playing group
  • Cricket Australia Coaching Level 2 Accreditation
  • Previous experience playing first grade cricket (Optional).

The GCC is in the South East of the Perth Metropolitan Area. The club has played in the WACA Premier Cricket Competition for over 30 years and has seen significant growth in recent years reaching its Inaugural First Grade Grand Final in 2015/16, and first T20 Grand Final in 2016/2017. Currently, the club has an incredible calibre of potential entering the playing group from its junior teams. In the 2018/2019 season, the GCC became the first team in the WACA Premier Cricket competition to win both the u15’s and u17’s Grand Finals, with a large portion of players from the latter entering the senior playing group for the upcoming season. Further to this, the Colts team has played in the Preliminary Finals 3 of the last 4 seasons.

This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the GCC, with the recent success of our Junior teams, and the currently under-construction Indoor Training Facility (ITF). The ITF presents fantastic opportunities for not only this advertised position, but also use for personal coaching as an additional source of income. The ITF has facilities that can be used for private and team coaching, including;

  • Fully enclosed facility
  • Full length run-ups for bowling
  • Retractable netting
  • Bowling machines
  • Facilities to conduct strength & conditioning training
  • Facilities to conduct mental training

Remuneration and term commensurate with experience. A successful candidate in this role will also have the option to use the Indoor Training Facility as a part of contract negotiations.
