Just because you don't play cricket doesn't mean you can't become involved with a cricket club. Being a part of a cricket club can be an incredibly rewarding experience, whether you are a scorer, administrator, masseur, scoreboard attendant, team manager, practice captain, support staff, kiosk co-ordinator, coaching assistant, selector, committee-person or social member.

Premier Cricket is the senior level of club cricket in Western Australia and any of the Premier Clubs would welcome your involvement at their club. Click here for a list of all Premier Clubs.

BMDCC Senior Assistant Coach – WA Premier Cricket

 

BMDCC is seeking a Senior Assistant Coach for the 2021/22 Season.  This purpose of this role is to support the Club Coach in developing a high-performance environment to develop team and individual performance in line with the Club’s objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the head coach in developing training plans, both for pre- season and during the season.

• Attendance at all training sessions and warm-ups on game day to lead activities (being present for the entire day is not an expectation)

• Plan and lead training activities

• Responsible, in conjunction with the head coach, for the skills and development of senior players. Knowledge & Skills

• Experience playing and/or coaching at Senior Premier Cricket level

• Proven high level communication skills and commitment to ensure excellent teamwork, behaviour and ensure objectives can be translated into meaningful plans and tactics

• Be able to provide mentoring and support to senior players

• Exposure to contemporary coaching techniques

• Lead activities independently of the Club Coach but within the agreed coaching plans

 

Payment for coaching services will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Rockingham-Mandurah District Cricket Club

Expressions of interest for Senior Coach WACA Female Teams

 

Rockingham-Mandurah District Cricket Club are looking for a Female Senior Head Coach for RMDCC teams for the upcoming 2021/22 season.

 

Rockingham-Mandurah District Cricket Club competes in the WA Premier Women’s Cricket Competition B Grade team & Female Youth League.

 

Working with the team captains, they will perform the responsibilities in the attached job description, including but not limited to:

 

  • In conjunction with other members of the woman & RMDCC Executive Committee
    1. Planning and implementing the pre-season training program, identifying and addressing specific individual and team skill areas.
    2. Planning and implementing the coaching program for the season, team captains and the WACA High Performance Department.
    3. Co-Ordination and management of the submission of the Premier Female WACA grant applications with the club Secretary, specifically related to the coaching department.

     

  • Manage RMDCC Coaches or managers of teams on Match Days
  • Provide technical coaching and support on training and match days.
  • The coach reports to the club Director of Cricket.

Melville Cricket Club (“MCC”) is one of the leading clubs in the WACA Premier Cricket Competition. MCC field teams in both the male and female senior premier competitions, teams in all junior male and female WACA premier age groups, along with fielding a male masters team. The Melville Cricket Club history is one filled with success since the club’s inception to the WACA premier competitions in 1957-58 and the Western Australian Women’s Competition in 1973. MCC are leaders in the senior and youth female cricket, having been awarded the 2020/21 Female Club Championship after winning 3 of 6 female premierships for the season.

 

We are currently looking for a Head Coach for the Senior Female Premier Competition. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a program and environment that is elite in its diversity, challenging for those looking for higher honours, but also creative and enjoyable for all players. The role will assist the club in long term sustainable success and to produce not only better cricketers, but also assist in developing better people.

Gosnells Cricket Club Senior Head Coach – Job Advertisement

 

The Gosnells Cricket Club (GCC) is seeking a new Senior Head Coach to lead the club. The role requires an ability to achieve strong development and high performance outcomes for both individuals and teams. Coaching will apply to the areas of batting, bowling, fielding, mental training, strength & conditioning and strategy.


We are looking for a leader to take the club into a new era of success on and off the field.

 

The role is suitable for someone who has;

  • Prior experience coaching a senior playing group,
  • Cricket Australia Coaching Level 2 Accreditation or better,
  • Previous (or current) experience playing first grade cricket (Optional).

 

The Gosnells Cricket Club is in the South East of the Perth Metropolitan Area. The club has played in the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) Premier Cricket Competition since 1987 and has seen significant growth in recent years reaching its Inaugural First Grade Grand Final in 2015/16, and first T20 Grand Final in 2016/2017.

 

The club will have good young talent coming through its Junior playing groups in the coming years, as, in the 2018/2019 season, Gosnells Cricket Club became the first team in WACA Premier Cricket competition history to win both the u15’s and u17’s Grand Finals. The U17s then followed that up in Season 2019/2020 with another flag. A large portion of players from these teams have entered the senior playing group.

 

Further to this, the Gosnells Cricket Club Colts team has played in the Preliminary Finals 4 of the last 5 seasons.

 

This opportunity comes at an exciting time for Gosnells Cricket Club, with the recent success of our Junior teams, and the completion in 2020 of our Indoor Training Facility (ITF). The ITF presents fantastic opportunities for not only this advertised position, but also use for personal coaching as potentially an additional source of income for the successful applicant. The ITF has facilities that can be used for private and team coaching, including;

  • Fully enclosed facility
  • Full length run-ups for bowling
  • Retractable netting
  • Bowling machines
  • Facilities to conduct strength & conditioning training
  • Facilities to conduct mental training

 

Remuneration and term will be commensurate to experience. A successful candidate in this role will also have the option to use the Indoor Training Facility as a part of contract negotiations.

  • Must work with the Senior Club Coach with the below list of requirements.
    1. Planning and implementing the pre-season training program, identifying and addressing specific individual and team skill areas.
    2. Planning and implementing the coaching program for the season, in conjunction with other members of the Cricket Committee.
    3. Working with the selection committee, individual players, team captains and WACA High Performance Department.
    4. Co-Ordination and management of the submission of the Premier Male WACA grant applications with the club Secretary, specifically related to the coaching department.

     

  • Support the RMDCC Senior Coach and teams on Match Days
  • Provide technical coaching and support on training and match days.
