Each round the most outstanding players of the Inverarity and McKenzie Shield competitions are recognised as the Player of the Round. The Player of the Round is determined by a points system with all winners receiving a certificate at the Junior Awards Night.
The McKenzie Shield Player of the Round is George Pullinger (Scarborough). Pullinger claims his second Player of the Round award with a sublime 152 from 144 balls that included 23 fours. His second century for the season helped the Gulls reach an impressive 2/275 (50) against Joondalup.
The Inverarity Shield Player of the Round is Kane Pearce (Wanneroo). Pearce had a strong all-round performance claiming 2-12 from 5 overs and 3 catches before top scoring for his team with 43 from 69 balls. Pearce has been very consistent with the bat but is sure to be eyeing a half century after making three scores in the 40s so far.
