Each round the most outstanding players of the Inverarity and McKenzie Shield competitions are recognised as the Player of the Round. The Player of the Round is determined by a points system with all winners receiving a certificate at the Junior Awards Night.
The McKenzie Shield Player of the Round is Harry O’Brien (Joondalup). O’Brien picked up 1-15 from 4 overs with the ball before stamping his authority on the game with a punishing 102 not out from 121 balls. O’Brien, who was able to make some starts so far this season, capitalised to record his maiden Premier cricket century.
The Inverarity Shield Player of the Round is Nicholas Wright (South Perth). Wright made 23 runs in the middle order before later claiming a sensational 5-17 from 5.2 overs to help the Sky Blues record a convincing victory against Willetton.
