Melville 86 def by Mildand-Guildford 1/90

 

Midland-Guildford asserted their dominance once again with a massive win over Melville at Tompkins Park. Winning the toss and electing to bowl first Sarah Spargo took 3 wickets for 21 runs off 6 overs alongside Amanda Ballucci who took 2 wickets for just 15. Melville we're bowled out for just 86 as range of bowlers took wickets. In response Midland-Guildford had little trouble as Amy Jones (28) and Captain Bhavisha Devchand (39) reached the target in 13.5 overs. For Rockingham - Mandurah wickets were spread across the board in a strong display from various players.

B Grade

 

Subiaco Floreat 7/236 def Rockingham Mandurah 7/112

Subiaco-Floreat performed very strongly in a win against Rockingham-Mandurah over the weekend. After being sent in to bat, Subiaco-Floreat's Emily Johnston (93) smashed 16 boundaries in her impressive knock followed by a very handy knock from Olivia Purnell (46) that took their total to a commanding 236 for the loss of 7 wickets. For Rockingham-Mandurah it was always going to be a difficult chase, S Yadav (26) fought hard however it was not enough against an impressive bowling line up. Millie Monaghan and C Cooke shared the bowling honors with 2 wickets for 10 runs in a strong performance by the team.

 

Melville 8/156 def Mildand Guildford 90

 

Melville took the points home in their clash against Midland-Guildford in the B Grade Competition. Melville won the toss and elected to bat first Lauren Shaw (80 off 84 balls) was the stand out performer as she belted 9 boundaries in her knock. At the end of their 40 overs Melville reached 156. Gemma Evans bowled nicely with 2 wickets for just 5 runs. Midland-Guildford struggled to build partnership's as Melville took regular wickets. Madeline Gardiner (21) top scored as they were bowled for 90. Kash Bransby was very impressive with 4 wickets for 5 runs off just 2.4 overs.
