University 3/83 def by South Perth 3/84


South Perth enjoyed a solid victory over University on Sunday. University won the toss and elected to bat first, Sarah Bryce (30) and Tansi Price (22) we're solid at the top of the order however due to tight bowling from South Perth they were restricted to just 83. Emma West was solid with the ball as she picked up 2 wickets for 8 runs from 2 overs. In response South Perth's Chloe Wain (40) played the match-winning innings as South Perth got home in the 18th over.  


Melville 3/160 def Midland Guildford 4/159


Midland-Guildford has suffered their first loss of the season as Melville took home the points at Tompkins Park on Sunday. Midland-Guildford who won the toss and elected to bat first took full advantage as Amy Jones (51 off 52) and Chloe Piparo (77 off 62) dominated at the top of the order once again posting a very strong total of 159 from their 20 overs. Melville's Georgie Middleton took 2 wickets for 18 runs of her 3 overs. However Melville proved up to the task and more as Rebecca West (47 off 51) and Mathilda Carmichael (68 off) gave Midland-Guildford plenty of headaches. After dismissing both Carmichael and West it was still not enough to save their undefeated streak as Melville got home with 3 balls to spare in a great game.

Melville 6/100 def Midland Guildford 50


Melville enjoyed a convincing upset win over Midland Guilford in the B Grade Competition. Melville lost the toss and we're sent in to bat first Jess Row (31 off 26) and Gabrielle Simmond's (28 off 33) contributed strongly to the Storm's total. Amanda Ballucci picked up 2 for 17 off her 2 overs. In response Midland-Guildford suffered a collapse due to some strong bowling from Melville Jess Row claimed 4 wickets for just 6 runs off her 4 overs as well as Sarah White and Caroline Shepherd claimed 3 wickets each as Midland-Guildford for just 56.


University 6/90 def by South Perth 7/115


South Perth enjoyed a win against University at James Oval. Winning the toss and electing to bat first Georgia Wyllie (28 off 28) Chloe Wain (27 off 29) and Emily Hessell (21 off 22) contributed to the team's solid score. Bowler Sarah Bryce had figures of 2 for 2 off 2 overs as well as Hayley Hoffmeister 2 for 26 off 4 overs. University's ever consistant Gemma Cassidy (26) performed very well, however no one else could hang around to get them within striking distance. Emma Meuleman performed well with the ball claiming 3 wickets for 15 runs off her 3 overs.South Perth winning by 25 runs in the end.
