Subiaco-Floreat 153 def by South Perth 6/232

 

South Perth have taken second spot on the A Grade 50 over Competition with a strong win over Subiaco-Floreat at Floreat Park. South Perth won the toss and elected to bat first. Katie Cross (91 not out) was the standout performer in the middle order along side captain Melissa Cameron (77) as both took to the Subiaco-Floreat bowling attack. Lauren Nicholson took a noteworthy 2 wickets for 29. At the end of the 50 overs South Perth reached a very commanding 232 for the loss of 6 wickets. In response Subiaco-Floreat stumbled out of the blocks losing two early wickets. Shenae Reichelt (28) was the top scorer however no one could go on to enter a match winning knock as the total proved too much. Katie Cross, Melissa Cameron, Georgia Wyllie and Blaire Pasco each took 2 multiple wickets to keep Subiaco Floreat to just 153 all out in a emphatic victory.

 

University 143 def by Midland Guildford 1/144

 

Midland-Guildford continue their winning streak to 5 undefeated victories as they cruised to another, against University on Sunday. University won the toss and elected to bat first Sarah Bryce (46) continued her good form with the bat alongside team-mate Nicole Ayres (23) however neither could register higher honors as both we're dismissed by in from all rounder Bhavisha Devchand who claimed outstanding figures of 6 for 25 off 8 overs. In the 31st over University we're dismissed for 143. Devchand (71 not out) continued to play an outstanding individual game for Midland-Guildford as she raced to the total. Kate Shallard (52 not out) also enjoyed the conditions as she remained unbeaten also, Midland-Guildford reached the total in the 24th over confirming a the winning points.

Subiaco Floreat 2/126 def by South Perth 127

 

Subiaco Floreat had a crucial victory against rivals South Perth in the B Grade Competition at Alderbury Street Reserve that see's Subiaco-Floreat jump to 3rd position on the B Grade Ladder over South Perth sitting in 4th. South Perth won the toss and elected to bat first Bree Turriff-Smith (27) performed well atop the order followed by top scorer Anaji McGrath (41) who reached the boundary 3 times in her fast knock off 35 delivery's. Kellie McGhie that very tight figures of 3 for 32 from her 8 overs. South Perth were dismissed for 126 from 36 overs. In response Subiaco-Floreat looked in trouble as they lost two early wickets however captain Catherine Clissold-Jones (30 not out) and Ayla Meintjes (60 not out) combined very well to provide a match-winning partnership to see Subiaco-Floreat home in the 26th over in a crucial victory for the side.
