Each round the most outstanding players of the Inverarity and McKenzie Shield competitions are recognised as the Player of the Round. The Player of the Round is determined by a points system with all winners receiving a certificate at the Junior Awards Night.
The McKenzie Shield Player of the Round is Colin Gault (Bayswater-Morley). Gault made an important 51 from 54 balls before claiming an impressive 4-35 from 10 overs with the ball. Gault also took a catch and affected a run out in a game where he starred in all facets.
The Inverarity Shield Player of the Round is Kai Orr (Joondalup). Orr made 20 from 29 balls in a low scoring game at Hillcrest Upper Oval. Orr later played a starring role with the ball nabbing 5-15 from his 8 overs. Orr also took a catch off his own bowling.
