Each round the most outstanding players of the Inverarity and McKenzie Shield competitions are recognised as the Player of the Round. The Player of the Round is determined by a points system with all winners receiving a certificate at the Junior Awards Night.

This was Orr's maiden Premier Cricket century surpassing his previous high score of 72 in what was one of the most outstanding batting displays in some time in the McKenzie Shield.
