Male Premier Cricket Review - Saturday 3rd & Saturday 10th Nov 2018

The Male Premier Cricket season continued with Two Day matches played over Saturday 3rd and 10th November. To catch up with highlights from the lower grades please read below and check out all of the scores on MyCricket. 

Round 6 

2nd Grade

Subiaco Floreat secured a huge outright win over Gosnells at Floreat Park. Gosnells made 116 (53.3) in its first innings with Michael Hart, Tom Moscarda and Angus McKenzie all taking three wickets. Subiaco Floreat declared at 9/185 (66) with Hart top socring with 42. Simon Acomb claimed 4-51 for the visitors. The Hawks were dimissed again for a lowly 111 (45) with Damien Sweet scoring the bulk of the runs with 74. Lucas Martin who had dropped down from 1st grade claimed 5-32. The Lions made short work of the run chase smashing 0/44 from 9.1 overs to secure outright victory. Meanwhile at Iluka Sports Complex, Joondalup made 215 (65) with Louis Gericke making 49 at the top of the order. Andrew Korol claimed 3-40 for South Perth. In reply South Perth chased down the total with 9/235 (79) with Hayden Krieg making a match wiing 82 in the lower order. Connor Chadwick took 3-52 from a massive 22 overs with the ball for the Centurions.

 

3rd Grade

Scarborough fell for 98 (39.5) in its first innings as Luke Roberts ripped through with 7-36 for Melville. The Storm made 225 (52) in reply with contributions from multiple batsmen including Matthew Bowdler with a top score of 47. Corey Young grabbed 4-80 for Scarborough with the ball. The Gulls fared better in its second innings making 7/229 dec (44). Ricardo de Nobrega made a sublime 102 not out with Cooper Connolly contributing 52. Midland-Guildford made 206 (79.5) after being in trouble with 3/10. Aidan Andrews did the damage with the ball for Rockingham-Mandurah taking 4-49. The Mariners replied with 6/280 (79) with big knocks from Joey Teague (91) and Craig George (62). William Gray picked up 4-49 for Midland-Guildford. 

 

4th Grade

Justin Bancroft smashed 100 in Willetton's run chase against Perth. His knock helped his team to 254 (82) in reply to the Demons' 163 (56). Kunal Mishra was the top scorer for Perth 52 while Joshua Kuser took 3-36 for Willetton. Perth had a number of multiple wicket takers with Jason Hill probably the pick with 2-14 from 9 overs. But none could claim the prized wicket of Bancroft who took the game away from the Demons. Greg Turner smashed a stunning 149 in Melville's 265 (79.5) against Scarborough. Mitchell Clark was superb for the visitors with 6-53. Scarborough toiled manfully but it wasn't enough being dismissed for 183 (72). Jack Lynn, opening bowler for Melville, claimed 3-34 for his team.
