Each round the most outstanding players of the Inverarity and McKenzie Shield competitions are recognised as the Player of the Round. The Player of the Round is determined by a points system with all winners receiving a certificate at the Junior Awards Night.
The McKenzie Shield Player of the Round is Ethan Barbieri (Subiaco-Floreat). Barbieri had an outstanding match where he helped his team win the game with superb all-round performance. Batting first, he anchored the innings with a score of 39 off 84 balls by providing stability to the innings to set up a target of 184 for Willetton. He then backed up this effort with a wonderful bowling performance by picking up 5 wickets in 7 overs for only 14 runs to take his team over the line.
The Inverarity Shield Player of the Round is Nicholas Davidson (Joondalup). Davidson carried the bat after coming in at number 3 against a strong Scarborough attack. He was the only player in his team to show some resistance to the opposition bowlers and player a great innings of 79 not out off 103 balls after contributing with economical bowling figures of 1 for 29 off 7 overs and taking a catch.
