Female Premier Cricket resumed after the Christmas Break, with the commencement of the One Day Competition for A Grade & B Grade.

A Grade One Day Competition - Round 1

Subiaco Floreat 8/147 def by Melville 5/148

Melville sent Subiaco Floreat into bat first at Alderbury Reserve and Sam Quadrio held the innings together with a composed 46, but apart from Lizzy Alderson's 23, no other player made over 20 runs as Subiao Floreat could only make 8/147 off their 50 overs. Mel Bownes was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/19 off 10 overs, while Caroline Shepherd took 2/26 off 9 overs. Young gun Gorgia Platten fired in the Storm chase, hitting an unbeaten 45, as a wayward Subiaco Floreat bowling attack conceded 49 extras in just 39.1 overs as Melville raced home with 5 wickets to spare.

Midland Guildford 80 All Out def by South Perth 1/81

A pair of 16s from Bree Hyde and Emily Rixon were the only double figure scores in the paltry  Midland Guildford total of 80 at Lilac Hill. 4 South Perth bowlers took 2 wickets each, as Zoe Britcliffe, Cassie Stephens, Soniya Yadav and Emily Hessell all contributed to a fine bowling display. Rachel Delaney held the chase together with 28no, while Skipper Hessell polished it off with 31 in the comfortable win.

B Grade One Day Competition - Round 1

Midland Guildford 95 All Out def by Rockingham Mandurah 7/148

Rockingham Mandurah were sent into bat first by Midland Guildford and managed to make 7/148 from their 40 overs, thanks to 30 from Saffron Mollett and 36 from Mel Saunders. Madeline Gardner took 2/19 for Midland Guildford while Sue Gray took 2/18 in a steady bowling performance. Gray also top scored in the Midland Guildford chase with a game high 38 from just 30 balls, but no one else was able to make double figures for Midland Guildford as the Mariners bowlers ran rampant. Saffron Mollett rounded out an excellent personal game, taking 5/25 to rout Midland Guildford for just 95!

Melville 7/207 def Perth 8/179

51 from Sam Pope and 71 from Jess Row formed the backbone of Melville's 7/207 at Tompkins Park against Perth. Lauren Shaw also contributed with that bat, making 30 and adding 68 at the top of the order with Pope as the Storm built up an imposing total, despite wickets to Lucy Bastin and Hazell. Perth were only able to make 8/179 in reply to the Melville total, as Lauren Shaw and Brooke Gardner both took 2 wickets for the Storm.

South Perth def Subiaco Floreat (forfeit)
