WA Premier Cricket - COVID-19 Update

On Behalf of the WA District Cricket Council and the WA Female Cricket Council:


Following the outbreak of COVID-19, a reminder to be cautious this weekend when sharing equipment with teammates, shaking hands or using saliva to get some extra swing on the cherry. 


If you have any concerns about the management or operation of cricket this weekend, stay across any further updates from your club or association regarding the management of your competitions this weekend. 


Stay safe and practice good hygiene. 


Australian Cricket strongly recommends all cricket being played this weekend to take note and be aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 (also known as the Coronavirus) outbreak.  Please follow the directives of Federal, State and Territory Governments. This weekend, please take into consideration government advice outlined above while also being cautious of restricting the sharing of equipment and general contact amongst players, officials and volunteers. 


Australian Cricket has been monitoring the coronavirus situation for several weeks with relevant government agencies, including the Australian Institute of Sport, which had outlined a coordinated approach for all Australian sports and will continue to keep communities informed with updates as necessary.
