WA Premier Cricket Inverarity and McKenzie Shield Player of the Round - Round 7 2020/21

Each round the most outstanding players of the Inverarity and McKenzie Shield competitions are recognised as the Players of the Round. The Player of the Round is determined by a points system with all winners receiving a certificate at the Junior Awards Night.

 

 

ROUND 7

 

 

McKenzie Shield (Under 14s)

The McKenzie Shield Player of the Round is Tanishk Chethan (Perth). Bowling first, Tanishk bowled a superb spell of 5/26 off 9 overs, including 2 maidens! Chasing a respectable total, Tanishk also led the way with the bat, scoring 73 off 112 balls to guide his team home to a win. His innings included 7 fours and 1 six. This superb effort from Tanishk earned him his third Player of the Round award in the Under 14's competition this season! Great effort Tanishk!

 

 

Inverarity Shield (Under 13s)

The Inverarity Shield Player of the Round is Isaac Diamanti (Rockingham-Mandurah). Bowling first, Isaac was instrumental in keeping the opposition restricted to a low total. He bowled 8 overs to pick up 3 wickets for only 8 runs, including 3 maidens! Isaac was also handy in the field, taking 2 catches. Chasing the total, Isaac opened the batting and scored a brilliant knock of 90* off 102 balls to guide his team home to a win. The superb performance earned him Player of the Week recognition across all junior grades! Well done Isaac!
