Each round the most outstanding players of the Inverarity and McKenzie Shield competitions are recognised as the Player of the Round. The Player of the Round is determined by a points system with all winners receiving a certificate at the Junior Awards Night.
The McKenzie Shield Player of the Round is Kade Povey (Gosnells). Povey compiled 103 from 138 balls in what was a disciplined innings. Povey also picked up 1-19 from 4.2 overs with the ball. Povey has made a positive start to the McKenzie Shield season making 175 runs at an average of 87.5.
The Inverarity Shield Player of the Round is Corey Wasley (Rockingham-Mandurah). This is back-to-back-to-back Player of the Round awards for Wasley who made an undefeated 75 from 88 balls in Rockingham-Mandurah’s defeat of Willetton. Earlier in the day Wasley picked up 2-4 from 4 overs and also nabbed 2 catches and a run out. Wasley is having an outstanding season so far as he dominates his age group.
