Melville have secured their 5th straight win of the season after a crushing victory against University at James Oval. University won the toss and elected to bat first however they fell victim to a brilliant team performance with the ball in hand by Melville. Lara Rodin Zimbahl was the leading wicket taker with figures of 3 wickets for 13 off 3 overs followed by Melissa Bownes 2 wickets for 2 off 3 overs and Rennee Chappell 2 wickets for 7. Meg Thompson (20n.o) saw Melville get home with 14 overs to spare.


Midland-Guildford 7/121 def Subiaco-Floreat 6/106


Midland-Guildford remain undefeated and atop the T20 ladder after Round 7 of the Competition, on Sunday they defeated Subiaco-Floreat at Lilac Hill. The Lions won the toss and elected to bowl first, Captain Chloe Piparo (26 off 24) was again in fine form with the bat followed by Bhavi Devchand (22 off 35) as they lead the way for the Swans. At the end of the 20 overs it was an even contest as they finished 7/121. However in response the top order of Subiaco-Floreat crumbled early putting pressure on the lower order. Lucy Curtin (29 off 26) and Tash Farrant (28 off 25) performed well however were well restricted as they fell 15 runs shy off the total. Midland-Guildford's bowlers all performed well Taneale Peschel was outstanding with 1 for 7 off her 4 overs.

Subiaco-Floreat 69 def by Midland-Guildford 2/70


Midland-Guildford have remained unbeaten in the T20 Competition with a win against Subiaco-Floreat on Sunday. Midland-Guildford won the toss and elected to bowl first Captain Emily Johnston (25 off 27) was the stand out for the Subiaco-Floreat outfit however due to some strong bowling from many bowlers, Midland -Guildford dismissed the side for 69 in the 18th over. Amanda Ballucci lead the attack with 4 wickets for 13 runs off her 4 overs. In response, despite losing Ballucci in the very first ball Annelies Gevers (18 off 10) and M Jecks (32n.o off 27) guided their side home in just the 10th over with a very strong performance.
