As Country XI enjoyed a BYE, an all-round team performance saw Midland-Guildford home against Gosnells in a closely fought match. James Kirwan (28 & 1/16) starred with all-round contributions. Scarborough defeated Wanneroo thanks to a brilliant performance from Liam Stevens (40 & 5/15). Fremantle blew University away as Kaiden Cookson made 74* to set a strong total before the bowlers did an excellent job bowling University for 60 to set up a massive win. Fremantle then defeated Rockingham-Mandurah to top off a successful day with Jack Camarda (72* & 3/21) putting in a superb all-round performance to sail his team home. South Perth were too strong for Willetton as they made easy work of a 128 runs chase, reaching the target in 17 overs. Melville were too strong for Perth bowling them out for 96 with a combination performances from several teammates to successfully defend 118. Rockingham-Mandurah had another tough day at the office as Subiaco-Floreat outclassed them with strong performances from Kiran Prashanth (49), Jack Retallack (41 & 3/22) and Tom Murray (3/18). Subiaco-Floreat then ran rampant by bowling University out for 34 as Jack Retallack starred again with 4/12 and Jamie Collins (3/7) who were supported well by other bowlers who all picked up wickets. Bayswater-Morley won a close game against Mount Lawley in a last over thriller with Manuel Hunwick (60) starring with the bat to get the Bears over the line. Jake Riccardi's all-round heroics (5/22 & 27*) weren't enough to stop Claremont-Nedlands as they hunted the Centurions down to win another closely contested last ball thriller!
Round 3 Colts
Matt Spoors (68*) starred to help the Roos defeat Gosnells. Scarborough defeated Midland-Guildford in a team effort led by Corey Young (4/23). Melville defeated Bayswater-Morley as Cameron Beath's 4/20 restricted the Bears to allow Storm to successfully defend 123. Perth proved too strong for Mount Lawley bowling them out for 78 in a great all-round performance led by Thomas Evans (23 & 4/14). University defeated Rockingham-Mandurah as Emile van der Merwe (51) helped set up a modest 117 as Daniel Moore's 5/16 made sure it got University over the line. A consolidated team effort with both bat and ball saw Joondalup get a win over South Perth in a close contest. Fremantle defeated Country XI where Liam Dallimore shined with 4/22. Claremont-Nedlands defeated Willetton as Brad Hope starred with 56 runs and 2/18 with the ball. Subiaco-Floreat proved too strong for Country XI as they skittled them for 63 with all bowlers chipping in with economical and wicket taking spells before they chased it down in 10.3 overs to set up another big win.
