Each round the most outstanding players of the Inverarity and McKenzie Shield competitions are recognised as the Players of the Round. The Player of the Round is determined by a points system with all winners receiving a certificate at the Junior Awards Night.
The McKenzie Shield Player of the Round is Tanishk Chethan (Perth). As Willetton batted first, Tanishk was impressive with the ball, returning figures of 3/14 off his 7 overs to keep the Dragons limited to 117. Chasing a low total, Tanishk outclassed Willetton bowling as scored a sensational century, making 118 off 103 balls, including 23 fours. This superb effort from Tanishk earned him the Player of the Round performance across all junior grades for the second time in the season!
The Inverarity Shield Player of the Round is Will Malajczuk (Subiaco-Floreat). Winning the toss, Subiaco-Floreat went in to bat first. Will led his team from the front, scoring an impressive unbeaten century, making 103* off 106 balls, including 14 fours. He backed up his batting efforts with a brilliant spell of 3/23 off 7 overs with the ball to take his team home to a win. Well done Will!
